The Chevy Nova (Chevy II) was produced in five generations for the 1962 through 1979, and 1985 through 1988 years. The Nova was the top of the Chevy II class through 1968 when the “Chevy II” was dropped and Nova became a line of its own. Then in 1980, Nova was replaced by the Chevrolet Citation only to return again in 1985 as a front wheel drive in the sub-compact group.
