Introduced for the 1958 model year, the Chevy Impala was one of Chevrolet’s most expensive passenger models and dominated during the era of full sized automobiles. Then in 1965, the Caprice was introduced as an Impala Sport Sedan (becoming a separate series of it’s own in 1966). The Impala was noted for many years by its symmetrical triple taillights.
