The Buick Super was considered a full sized model and was produced from 1940 through the 1958 model years with the exception during WWII. It’s basic body matched the Roadmaster but both the Super and the Roadmaster were replaced by the Electra with the 1959 model year.
In 2008, the Super returned briefly as a performance trim level for the v8 LaCross and Lucerne models. Only lasting 3 years, it was removed from Buick’s lineup again in 2011.
